From time to time, PowerGen supplements its staffing levels across various departments to support its plant maintenance and business activities. To this end, PowerGen seeks to build its temporary labour pool to meet its needs and achieve its goal of providing a safe and reliable electricity supply to the national community. We are inviting qualified persons to pre-qualify for our temporary staffing database in the following areas:

• 1. Mechanical Candidates must have: • A MET or MEEET Diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of practical exposure in the field 2. Electrical and Instrumentation Candidates must have: • An Instrumentation Engineering Technician (IET) or Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician (EEET) Diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of practical experience in the field 3. Administrative/Clerical Candidates must have: • A minimum of 5 Ordinary level/CXC/CSEC subjects including English and Mathematics • Secretarial Certificate/Diploma OR • Bachelor's Degree - Management; Business Administration or equivalent • At least two (2) years experience in an office environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite A degree will be considered an advantage in the selection process for all temporary positions.

•1. Mechanical Assist in installing, repairing, and carrying out maintenance work on all plant and equipment associated with the Power Station per the accepted codes of practice. • 2. Electrical and Instrumentation Assist in the installing, testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining of all instruments and electrical equipment associated with the Power Station per the accepted Codes of Practice and the Safety Rules. • 3. Administrative/Clerical Assist in ensuring the Administration Department provides the necessary support to the management of effective and efficient service to staff in the areas of pay, benefits, and other matters related to the effective functioning of the station.
